ADC treasurer resigns over its weak position on Syria

I just received news of ADC treasurer Jay Salkini's resignation over the organization's weak stance on the Syrian regime.

In his resignation letter, Saklini stated:
While the ADC is working admirable and diligently on granting Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for Syrian nationals in the US, it has disappointingly fallen short in its position regarding the atrocities committed by the Syrian regime. Attempts to release a statement condemning these horrific acts by the Syrian government's forces have, regrettably, repeatedly failed.

Last summer, the ADC took a controversial decision when it prevented Malek Jandali from performing at its annual convention after he declined the group's request not to perform "Watani Ana."
