Local Libyans to celebrate this Sunday in Orange County

The Libyan Emergency Task Force of Southern California sent out an invitation to celebrate freedom in Libya this Sunday at the Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.

The nightmare that choked Libya for more than 4 decades has ended. The National Transitional Council (NTC) has announced the capture and death of Gaddafi in the city of Sirt.

After the people of Libya took to the streets and peace fully rejecting the rule of Gaddafi, he launched a war against an unarmed people killing tens of thousands of young Libyans and displacing hundreds of thousands.

For the first time in many decades, Libyans are free of tyranny. On this occasion, Libyan-Americans and every human of conscience is celebrating. The Southern California Libyan and Arab American community will celebrate this Sunday, October 23, at the Mile Square Park at 11 am to Sunset.
