Miral, a Film About Palestine, Opens This Weekend in Los Angeles

Miral, a film about Palestine directed by the Oscar-nominated filmmaker Julian Schnabel and distributed by The Weinstein Company starting Frieda Pinto of Slumdog Millionaire, opens this weekend in Los Angeles.  Reserve your tickets by clicking here.
Based on the autobiographical novel from Palestinian author and journalist Rula Jebreal, Miral tells the story of three generations of Palestinian women, particularly a Palestinian orphan, as she engages events unfolding around her in Israel and Palestine.  By giving voice to authentic Palestinian experiences, Miral provides an important contribution to American cultural discourse about Palestine and the Palestinians.
If Miral succeeds this opening weekend, then its chances of gaining more widespread distribution will increase, allowing even more Americans to hear Palestinian voices.  Help it succeed by reserving your tickets ASAP.
Miral will open in Los Angeles this Thursday evening at the ArcLight Hollywood.  Check here for a detailed schedule.
